A member of mtDNA haplogroup D in my project has results for HVR1 and HVR2, but not the coding region (except for the 22-or-so locations routinely checked by FTDNA's mtDNA backbone test and not explicitly shown to customers).

I entered the person's HVR1+HVR2 into James Lick's excellent mtDNA predictor (https://dna.jameslick.com/mthap/), in the hope of getting a subclade. Instead, the predictor yielded:
1) G2b1a1
2) M9
2) M33(T16362C)
2) D
3) G

This is not a criticism of the predictor, only an indication of a very unusual European matrilineage. The person has only one HVR1+HVR2 match.

Here are the HVR1+HVR2 mutations:
16223T
16362C
16519C
73G
207A
263G
309.1C
315.1C
