Hello,

I live in France and I'm interested by AncestryDNA because I heard their raw files contain more SNPs than FamilyTreeDNA ones.
Can I ask a friend in Belgium to order a kit for me? Will I be able to use it and activate it?

Thanks.

Actually, it's the other way around (unless you are interested in medically relevant SNPs). The new AncestryDNA chip includes about 40,000 variants that are annotated by SNPedia, while FTDNA makes an effort to remove medical SNPs. FTDNA has more total SNPs, though.
