It seems there is a good correlation.

What is Your opinion?

What is the age of Proto Niger Congo? The main branch TMRCA is ~15000 ybp.

Yes the Niger-Congo family is most definitely characterized by the M2 lineage. Interestingly both the language and the lineage do not appear to have originated in the areas in the map shown above. Instead, what is indicated is a Northeast African (Sudanese) origins.
