Hey all! I'm an American of primarily European descent (German and Dutch mostly, according the family tree); most of my ancestors came to North America in the 1800s. I thought I would put up a comparison of my Ancestry DNA results vs DNA.land results.
AncestryDNA Results (ranges in parentheses):
European 98%
Scandinavia 30% (5-57%)
Great Britain 29% (1-56%)
Europe West 16% (0-42%)
Italy/Greece 9% (0-18%)
Europe East 7% (0-17%)
Iberian Peninsula 4% (0-12%)
Finland/Northwest Russia 1% (0-5%)
European Jewish 1% (0-4%)
Ireland <1% (0-4%)
West Asia <1%
Middle East <1% (0-2%)
Africa <1%
Africa North <1% (0-2%)
DNA.land Results:
West Eurasian 100%
Northwest European 71%
South European 18% ----> Balkan 15% and South/Central European 2.8%
North Slavic 11%
There are my results! :) Would love any words of wisdom or interesting thoughts on this comparison; I'm very much a greenhorn in genealogy. :)
