Hey dear Community,

so my paternal grandmother's results came in and it came out that she has the mtDNA Haplotype X2M'N. I could hardly find anything about the Haplogroup X in Europe, and absolutely nothing about the Haplotype. She is born in Austria, her maternal line probably goes back to Germany (latest surname: Wenzel).

I am very thankful for every helping answer! :)

X2m1: found in Ireland, Germany and Italy
X2m2: found in Italy / found in Neolithic Anatolia

In which subclade of these is X2M'N?

Thank you Judith! :)

I have not purchased the FullSequence for my Grandmother yet, but I will as soon as I have the necessary money. I am very interested into her ancient ancestry.

Assuming that you did the initial test with FTDNA they frequently do special offers, which a couple of months ago was $99 for the full genome. It all helps the money side.
Have you joined the FTDNA X project?

I will use the next special offer! Just joined the X Project on FTDNA!
