Lærdal is my mothers villiage (I have thought about moving there, as it rains less there than in Bergen, but I dont know If I can manage to live in a small village after living several decades in mostly cities), it would be interesting to compare the DNA of Viking age Lærdal people to modern Lærdal people, as Lærdal it seems is one of the most "mixed" places in Norway, I have German, Scottish, Danish, Romani ancestry from Lærdal..It was a hub for international trade and inter-Norwegian trade...
