View Full Version : T2b25 - Jewish?
My wife is T2b25 and has no HVR1, 2, & coding region matches and also 0 HVR1 & HVR 2 matches. Her farthest back direct material ancestor was born around 1850 in Germany. In the T project on FTDNA, about half of her contemporaries that are also labeled T2b25 seem Jewish. At this point in time, what is known about mtDNA haplogroup T2b25 and its origin?

My mtdna haplogroup is t2b25 and my maternal side is Jewish. My matrilineal side is Jewish from Austria-Hungary.
Thanks Koolmets21. Do you have any exact or 1 step matches? Are you in the T2 Group Project on FTDNA?

I've only tested at ftDNA for my y-haplogroup.
Koolmets21, You should do a mtFull test at FTDNA while the sale is on and discount coupons now, and see if you match any of the eight T2b25 people in the T2 project. There is one tester who is T2b25 and goes back to Austria.
