I am always hearing Kurds are this, Kurds are that regarding their Geneological background.
There are works on some blogs, even this forum has some serious depth to Kurdish data coverage.

However, Kurdish DNA Project under FTDNA has just a very limited number of participants.
For example, I've read that R1a is one of the most common haplogroups in Kurds. When I look at the Kurdish DNA Project there is just one person classified as R1a who is from India and probably has nothing to do with Kurdish background.

I wonder if people with Kurdish background are intentionally not joining to FTDNA project??
Or if they are more inclined to be tested in 23andme and other companies.
