We've had f251710 Murphy with CTS3386+ but I now see we have two others pop up in National Geno 2 testing.

f251710 Murphy R1b-P312>L21>DF13 DF13+ CTS3386+
fN113768 Conall R1b-P312>L21 L21+ CTS3386+
fN113851 zzzUnknown R1b-P312>L21 L21+ CTS3386+

Murphy is in a variety I call z4371418 and it has this STR signature
437<=14 & 570>=18 537>=11 534<=14

Other members of z4371418:

f200481 Buchanan R1b-P312>L21
f120717 Carroll zzL21suspect
f96024 Kavanagh zzL21suspect
f115415 Mills zzL21suspect
f196841 Nolan R1b-P312>L21>DF13
f114964 zzzUnk(Phillips) zzL21suspect

Conall is a personal name in the Irish language, from a quick google I see the following:
N113768 -- DOUGHERTY -- Conall Cenel Conaill Gulban

http://www.familytreedna.com/public/doherty/default.aspx?section=ysnp

Nolan is in the Ireland project (O'Nuallain) as are Kavanagh and Mills. Is CTS3386 available for order as an individual snp with FTDNA?

"Conall Gulban mac Néill" (Conall Gulban son of Niall -- Gulban reference to Ben Bulban mountain where he was fostered) is the purported ancestor of the Cineal Conaill. One of the two great kindreds of the "Northern Uí Néill" -- Donegal (Dún na nGall -- Fort of the Foreginers) is also know as Tír Chonaill (the land/country of Conall) in Irish -- thence titles such as "Earl of Tyrconnell" -- I'm assuming he put that in given that the name Doherty is a Cineál Conaill surname. Of course we do see most Doherty's been M222+.

Sorry, no CTS3386 is not available for individual order. I brought it to Thomas' attention back in May, so there may have been a problem with the primers. I'll see if I can find anything out.

f196841 Nolan has come in as CTS3386+ and he is GD=8 at 67 from Murphy. This pretty much establishes that CTS3386 will reach public SNP status with ISOGG. I checked David Reynolds WTY/Geno2 comparisons and it looks like across the board DF13's current subclades are CTS3386- so CTS3386 could easily be next in line as a DF13 subclade.

I was just reviewing Morley's Tree and looking at CTS 3386 is a subclade of Z2542/CTS82216. Any updates on this situation?

Kits containing

DF13 > Z2542/CTS82216 > 115893, 16114, 173877, 186947, 196841(note), 198135, 227117, 26059, 30949, 365, E5945, (Duplicate call: L159.), N76898, N8772)

Note: R1b-P312>L21>DF13>CTS3386+

Subclades
Z2542/CTS82216 > (L1068 - N55408)
Z2542/CTS82216 > (L580 - 173880)
Z2542/CTS82216 > (CTS3386 - 119684, 251710, N113768, N113851, N114672)
Z2542/CTS82216 > (F11032/L1471/L679 - 170191)

From what I can see at least one CTS3386 has "Big Y" on order namely Murphy (f251710) this should at least allow us to flesh out it's exact position with regards to broader DF13 "church".

From what I can see CTS3386 is still not available for individual order through FTDNA.

Hi,

My Big Y results came in this morning (finally!) and I've uploaded to the L21 Yahoo Group. I'm afraid I have neither the knowledge nor the experience to dissect the results and confirm any common SNPs with other DF13 subclades. If anyone could point me in the right direction to check the results, that would be great.

I saw Mike's spreadsheet SNP-L21_SNP_Tree_Discovery and noticed there were already some SNPs listed for CTS3386. I compared those with my own results (using the FTDNA search as the downloaded results weren't available until a few hours after), and I found only 3 SNPs in common:

16224370C>G S17999
23140981C>T S25201
17134815G>A S19268

As a software engineer, I feel I could put together a program to siphon through large result sets and perform some matching tasks, but my domain knowledge is lacking. The spreadsheets I've seen have me bamboozled - although this may be because they don't work for me fully as I don't have MS Excel.

Any thoughts or analysis welcome..

If you don't have excel you can always upload the zip folder to the L21 group page if you haven't already. There is a comparison file there which compares your SNP's against results from all the other L21 kits. I can take a look at it when I get a moment if you upload it.

Thanks George. I uploaded the zip earlier into the Yahoo group Big Y results file area as CTS3386_Murphy_251710_BigY_Data_20140405.zip.

What's the spreadsheet/comparison file name?

Thanks

Sorry I thought they were doing something similar to FGC with a comparison spreadsheet but I guess not. Unfortunately I don't find the BIGY results very used friendly. I'll contact FGC and see if they will sort the results (not sure if there is a fee with it). I know the whole idea of BIGY is research based but I think the variant results should be more clear in terms of layout, shared SNP's, private SNP's etc.

Please take note that I received my geno 2.0 results recently and that I'm also L21+ and CTS3386+
My results are available on Familytree with the following reference number N122185. I'm also a member of the L513 group although I'm L513- and Z249-.
Unless I'm wrong in understanding geno 2.0 results I would also be L705+ and L706 + which appear rather bizarre in regards of begin L513-.
Oldest ancestor is François Dauphin and born in Louvigné de Bais France in 1650.
