View Full Version : International Area Revamp + New Sub-Sections (Nov 2017)

11-06-2017, 11:41 PM
Dear Members,

The following changes have been made to the site's layout and structure:

1) The International Area (http://www.anthrogenica.com/forumdisplay.php?161-International-Area) has been re-arranged per continent, with all the pre-existing sub-sections retained. Specifically, we have added dedicated areas for North and South American discussions, which have been re-populated by content from several other sections (preferentially "General"). A one month expiring redirect is in place for these.

2) Following member feedback (http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?11432-Spanish-amp-Hispanic-subforum), we have reinstated the Spanish language sub-section (http://www.anthrogenica.com/forumdisplay.php?170-Spanish), which can now be found in the European area.

3) Finally, following additional member feedback (http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?12519-Could-We-Get-a-Spot-for-MyHeritage-in-the-Commercial-Testing-Subforum), we have added a MyHeritage sub-section (http://www.anthrogenica.com/forumdisplay.php?206-MyHeritage). Once more, a one month expiring redirect is in place for MyHeritage-related threads found in other forum areas.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind our members regarding the following:

International Area subsections that are language-specific (e.g. Hindi) do not need to feature discourse exclusive to either the specific language or English.
For sub-section suggestions, please leave us feedback in the Suggestions (http://www.anthrogenica.com/forumdisplay.php?103-Suggestions) area of Forum Support.
If you are uncertain why a sub-section specific to your region or language has not been created, please read this recent post by an administrator (http://www.anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?7141-Can-an-Arabian-section-be-formed&p=296426&viewfull=1#post296426) outlining our approach and the likely reason(s) those sections have not been created (yet).

Thank you for your cooperation, and a thank you to those members who provided us with the above feedback.
