That's actually a "J" not an "I".

None of the current participants belong to Y-DNA I so far.

It isn't actually very clear at all, so I'll have to join you in blaming Excel for that minor snafu. :beerchug:

Iranian Y-DNA I certainly exists (Grugni et al. (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_mypYjUAwqw/UAjZdNrHAqI/AAAAAAAAAMY/nxbhHviubow/s1600/study4.png)), but it's quite rare and seems restricted to the outer regions of the country in that extensive study (Gilan = N, Kordestan = W, Hormozgan = S).

Happy to announce we have a few new additions to the project since the last update, including a new Qizilbash sub-group with a single sample belonging to Y-DNA O3a4.
