Z156 sits under Z381 as a peer to Z301 (who is the father of L48 and U198).

Z305 is a decent sized subclade and contains L1, but here is the rest of Z156, the Z305- guys:

Would you say that those Z156+ with 24 at YCAIIb are generally Z305- ? That's what I notice in the U106 project results. Thus, kits 198287 and 264842 in my project (who are Z156+) are probably Z305- .

I think YCAII could be used to help guide SNP testing in some of these cases. The combination of YCAII=19,24 438=11 and Z156+ seems to lead to Z305-.

However, there is at least one Z305* guy that is YCAII=19,24

The only way to really know is to do the SNP testing. Z305 has not been heavily tested in Z156+ L1- guys.

I am one of your Z156+ Z305- guys. Also I am L23+. Does being L23+ have any place or time indications ?

L23 is well known as ancestor to U106 and P312.

Mike one of my Bow(e) subgroups is your Bow above. Were you able to place him here based on his STR values? I see some SNPs not appearing in his SNP results at FTDNA, e.g. s381156-. Just curious. Also, what if any would be the best advanced SNP test to recommend to these Bow(e)?
