i had 23 and me done and it gave me N1b2. I uploaded my dna to wegene for a further breakdown on some of my populations and it gave me a different maternal haplogroup it gave me N1b1b how is this possible? is one of the sites wrong? which is more accurate?

Try using https://dna.jameslick.com/mthap/ then paste the output here so we can see which mutations are in your raw file and which are assumed positive by Wegene.

okay i uploaded the dna to that site you gave me and the results it gave me corresponded more to wegene than 23 and me but why would 23 and me get the wrong haplogroup?

Every year or so they update the mtdna tree. Version 17 is the newest but 23andme likely isn't on that version. See 4735a below. In build 14 it was in N1b2 but today it is N1b1b. They're both correct and accurate but one is using outdated nomenclature.
