Hello.
My haplogroup is my L595.
My ancestors is Turkmen who came to Anatolia from Central Asia in the 1600s.
Do you have any information other than what is known about this sublcade?

Here are the results of the Y-DNA Haplogroup L project (https://www.familytreedna.com/public/Y-Haplogroup-L/default.aspx?section=yresults). L-L595 (confirmed and predicted) is the first category.

So far, I took the y-111 test after y-12 first. At present, there is a big-y product whose results have not been announced.

Hello Alparslan. Do you happen to have some Balkan ancestry? Because the L2-L595 subclade of L is largely restricted to Europe.

The subclade L2 (L-L595), while it is extremely rare, is seldom found outside Western Europe.


L2 (L595)
L-L595 is found only in Europe from Ireland, Iberian Peninsula and Sardinia to Eastern Europe and their highest frequency is found in Estonia,[Footnote 5] Scozzari 2001, Lappalainen 2008.

I've seen some possible examples on the east side of the Black Sea, I'll try to find the paper. I don't know who started the myth (quoted by everyone because Wikipedia says so) that the highest frequency is in Estonia, the papers referred to didn't test L595.

Anyway, the results are just in so I need to do some checking on the positive SNPs.

There are no kits from Estonia in the L Project. FTDNA don't release data other than where individual customers join projects and make their results public. So this assertion is unverifiable and contrary to Wikipedia guidelines.

There are no confirmed L1s who don't belong to L1a or L1b. Why do you think the two Shapsugs are L1 rather than L2?

Don't know. That info might have been added by an L595+ FTDNA customer based on his Y-STR matches list.

They might well be, because we already know a few individuals from the Southern Caucasus who are likely to be + for L595 based on their STR results, so there is no reason to assume that L595 does not exist among the indigenous peoples of the Northern Caucasus, however in low frequencies.

We do not have a linguistic or cultural interest in Europe or the Balkan region(Sivas).
My grandpa said that we came from the line of Alevi / Türkmen and that we are Avşar.

I tried to analyze their 19-marker haplotypes on the Nevgen.org project and the result is "100% Unsupported subclade". And visually, this is a very unusual haplotype..
