Great video at the first link. Every paleoanthropologist promotes his or her own discovery as a game changer for human evolution, but I judge the reliability of new claims based on how well they fit the existing models. Rewriting the story of human evolution requires a re-analysis of the whole body of evidence, and one fossil is unlikely to make a big difference, in part because the date of any given fossil is uncertain, and the fossils tend to be far from a complete skeleton.

They annoyingly keep naming these things different species, when there's no evidence, or even a reliable test for this.
