341/4531= 7.53% . Therefore 92.47% are low confidence matches .

Good statistic. How many are high? 342 is still a lot of matches.

I have 5 matches, 4 from the US and the fifth my own uploaded Ancestry DNA kit

How are you sorting them out? No matter how I sort there seem to be some low confidence before some medium confidence, so it's hard to track.

It was a difficult job. I just ploughed through using 'shared dna' though using largest segment might be better. I think low confidence matches are 14.99cMs or less. As for high confidence matches = 31/3543 = 0.87%

They seem to depend on both shared segments and total match, so that's why I don't have a clear way to tell.

Roughly, I think I have about 85 matches that are high confidence, and around 320 of high or medium, out of over 5900.

My dad has more than 125 high and around 490 medium or high out of 5750 matches, and my mom has around 115 high and 475 high and medium out of 5414 matches.

My parents have more than me since, of course, they are going to be more closely related to the people I match.

Looking at the matches and comparing largest segment I think I get 27 high matches out of 5123. Will look at medium also- 423 medium confidence so 450 exactly ..
Not very high but then FTDNA's algorithm is not terribly inspiring either.. and I only check 4-6th cousin matches mostly at AncestryDNA..
