What countries that are listed in the West Asian countries and the ones that are listed in the Middle Eastern countries. Why are they put in different categories?

From their own website:

My Heritage - West Asian distribution (https://www.myheritage.com/ethnicities/broadly-west-asian/ethnicity-worldwide-distribution)

My Heritage - Middle Eastern distribution (https://www.myheritage.com/ethnicities/broad-middle-eastern/ethnicity-worldwide-distribution)

The map default is to see the top 5 countries, but there's an option at the bottom of the list to see all countries.

I wonder which peoples was taken as a reference for West Asians, considering there are many genetic differences between the peoples living in that region. There are big differences even between West and North Caucasians, let alone others. On the other hand,we can see small Europe is divided so many components))

As MyHeritage says, their ethnicity estimate is based on the Founder Populations Project.
