Hi guys! I recently did an Ancestry DNA test and surprisingly, I scored 5% Caucasus (the range is 5-7%). I was quite intrigued by the results, and I am currently trying to find whether I really have roots in Caucasus. In terms of background, I am from NW India/Pakistan

I decided to put my results in GEDmatch and I also score decent Caucasus (approximately 20% in them). Most oracles also give me 3/4 South Asian population (such as Pakistani, Gujarati, or Pathan) + 1/4 Caucasian population (Lak, Azeri, Iranian, etc.). Here is an example from Gedrosia Ancient K6, which is considered "accurate for South Asians":
dmix Results (sorted):

# Population Percent
1 Ancestral_North_Eurasian 37.65
2 Natufian 33.63
3 Ancestral_South_Eurasian 16.7
4 East_Asian 8.48
5 West_European_Hunter_Gartherer 3.33
6 Sub_Saharan 0.21

19 76.5% Punjabi + 23.5% Azeri @ 2.43
20 64.6% GujaratiB + 35.4% Iran_N_WC1 @ 2.44

In this one, for example, I get 2/3 Gujarati + 1/3 Caucasus (Azeri in this case).

So guys, where should be my starting point? Is there some possibility of Caucasian roots? If that's the case, I guess that ancestry from Caucasus would go back around the 1800s.

I am basically South Indian with higher than average Caucasian ancestry, hence what you see here. It is also reflected on ftDNA myOrigins with me getting 4% Anatolian.
