Origins of R1b-P312?

Does anyone here know the origins of R1b-P312? Or which modern day region or modern day country in Europe it originated in? Thanks.

It comes from the steppes, Southern Russia and Ukraine. If the P312 mutation took place there or somewhere in Central Europe is uncertain so far.

Probably somewhere smack dab in the middle of Europe or Eastern Europe, but I don't think we know for sure.

This is a hard question to answer. People have migrated around a lot in the past few thousand years.
