Someone got this email from FTDNA today. Promises, promises?
---
Hi Scott, Thank you for your email. I would be happy to help you out. If you are requesting that SNP PF6899 be tested by FTDNA in the future, we are releasing our new Haplotree hopefully within the next few weeks. Though I do not know which specific SNPs will be included on the tree, thousands more SNPs will. I have also emailed our specialist requesting that this SNP be included.
Have a wonderful day!

Here's some related good news. From another email sent to an FTDNA customer:
---
Dear Mr. NN, I received your request to add PF6899 to the Family Tree DNA advanced orders page and I am happy to report that we are already in the process of developing an assay for this SNP. We expect it to be available in the next 2-3 weeks. In addition, Family Tree DNA is creating a new, streamlined process for requesting SNPs that will allow them to be evaluated even faster. When it is complete we will release more details. Again, thank you for your request and I hope my response is to your satisfaction.

Best Regards,

At last ?

Can I really look forward to not trying to explain to members that they don't have to test more SNPs despite being listed M269 !!!

If anybody's in has contact details for folk at the FTDNA conference any chance of asking them if it's possible to find a decent camera or stop reporting the news via out of focus wide angle pics ?
