Hello I recently took a 23andme kit and my haplogroup turned out to be specifically J-M267 or CTS5368. I know that my father is from Iraq and that at the very least my great grandfather is from Iran I however was born in the U.S. That being said I did plug in a few rsids and this is what I gathered.

rs34043621=T
rs746714434=C
rs376267849=A
i4000205= No Genetic Markers
i706857= A
rs776291331=A
rs201301961=A

This is what I got so far but I'm not sure exactly what it means considering my GED tests point to Turkey and the Caucasus but I don't have any family besides my dad to tell me anything about potential ancestry. Any help would be great and appreciated!
Thank you

You are positive to CTS5368/Z2215 +
Negative to P58/Page8/PF4698 -
Negative to CTS15/Z1828 -
Negative to P56 -
Negative to L818/S4972 -
Negative to L816 -

I would recommend for you to test FGC6064, usually related to Iranian J1 origins or PF7261. You can try FTDNA or YSEQ. You should get at least 37 Y-DNA markers and your Big Y.

So I searched all of those rsids on the 23andme browser and this is what I got

rs376267849 = A

i4000205 = No genes or markers found

i706857 = A

rs34043621 = T

rs776291331 = A

rs201301961 = A

rs746714434 = C

Sorry for my ignorance but I have no clue what any of this means exactly.

Also on Wegene my haplogroup was portrayed as J1a2a1a1~ but I don't know how accurate Wegene would be.

Try to test your Y-DNA at FTDNA and if you are positive to FGC6064 you can join our FGC6064/M365 Project.

Interesting that you are negative for P58, majority of J1 in the region is from P58. Since Z2215>FGC6064 seems to be linked to Iranic speakers, perhaps it's from Kurdish input. Though you do need to test for FGC6064. There is also a clade of Z2215 called L136 which has been found in Arab countries, perhaps it could be linked to early peoples(Pre-Semitic?) of the middle east.

Yeah I'm honestly a little confused myself I know my dad told me that my great grandfather was from Iran but we have no other knowledge seeing how they haven't seen each other in over 30 years but I will be taking a test for FGC6064. Thank you guys for your knowledge on this stuff!
