I finally got my update today, almost 4 months after uploading my dna but I have to say overall pretty solid, and was mainly accurate (by commercial standards anyway) for my Ancestry, however, at the complete level it gives 1.9% of my unassigned dna to Kurdish... How accurate is that and why would they even guess? And itís not like itís uncalculable number either, itís roughly 1/64.
Thanks to all, CZL

It's probably part of your Ashkenazi ancestry and likely has nothing to do with actual Kurds. I remember seeing people a while ago who were like 1/8 Ashkenazi getting some Kurdish and Italian in addition to whatever expected ancestry they got.

1.x or 2.x % Kurdish seems to appear as a representative of deep ancestry on the Bristish Isles. I've seen 100% Welsh or Irish get the same thing.

I get 1.5% Kurdish in Complete, although it goes to World/Unassigned in Standard and Cautious. I am unlikely to have any Kurdish, so it's deep ancestry in my case.

Yes, I have 1.6% that shows up the same way.

After seeing some of the posted results it seems like a widespread issue so I’m not too phased anymore, nor was I ever, I figured something was wrong.

It might be unknown Jewish ancestry in those cases.

Yeah Ashkenazi dna really gets around in these tests, it’s unbelivake.
