23andme V5 vs v3 Gedmatch matches

why are my good matches on V5 version and other kits from ancestry and my heritage not popping up on V3 version?

the same matches appear on all the main websites too and on gedmatch kits but just the V3 shows a whole different selection of matches??

People say the v3 Version is more accurate (ancestry composition on gedmatch) but I dont understand why my actual matches who I have some connection with not showing up?

and when i do a one to one (v3) it shows no shared segments when i actually do have matches with the said persons?

The default cM value on GEDmatch is 7cM. If you haven't tried setting it a bit lower, do so (my preferred value is 5cM). I don't recommend going too low though.

I do set it to low 5cM to especially being endogamous too (noticed how many segments of this is real) but thank you for responding - some do show up and some dont - i even contacted gedmatch didnt even respond lol

Is it possible that the SNPs the algorithm is looking at just weren't tested on the V3 version, so there's nothing to see when you look at it?

Possible yes but ive never really tested with th v3 just v5. And on upload to ftdna it messed withe the X as no x shoes on the file.
