We often times associate the most 'robust' looking people with Australians. However, in America there were people of equal archaic appearance and are far robust in the postcranium, unlike Australians. It is likely that the earlier humans (Erectus, Neandertal, Denisovan, archaics in Africa) did not have beards and did not go bald (this is from the fact that beard and baldness variants arose very late in human history, with modern humans--study: A genome-wide association scan in admixed Latin Americans identifies loci influencing facial and scalp hair features-- and that beards and baldness are highly correlated), so Australians are a poor reference for the archaic phenotype in terms of hairiness.

Here I am specifically showing very low hairlines, sloping frontal squamas, massive midfaces, little androgenic hair, wrinkly skin, etc.
