Hi, I just received my results from national geographic and discovered my Y (which is Russian) is J-L210 (which I believe is j2a4b3 ?) does this mean I have Jewish heritage ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
P.S. I am a little shocked as there is no known Jewish heritage on my fathers side.

From the categories I see in the yDNA J Project (http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Y-DNA_J/default.aspx?vgroup=Y-DNA_J§ion=yresults), L210 contains a large Jewish cluster but is not exclusively Jewish.
I suppose you did a Geno 2.0 test. It includes autosomal results, which could be more indicative of your recent ancestry.
Also your raw data file may include results for Y-SNPs downstream of L210, for example Z482.

Yes Z482 is present as is Z492 , does that indicate anything ?
Oh, the autosomal just says Mediterranean, Northern Europe, West Asian. For the J-L210 it says it's origin is west Asian but that little is known about it, and that it follows Jewish diaspora patterns.
Where in Russia is your family from?

What is the origin of your Y-DNA line, Erik? Is that your Jewish side?
