In researching my father's maternal grandfather it appears that there is a small cluster of C's related to this line under C-M217. More specifically, under C-BY56585 (this appeared to be FTDNA SNP - I can't find an equivalent on Y-Full tree).
This line came from Rheinland-Pfalz and immigrated to eastern Pennsylvania (PA German AKA 'Dutch') in the early 1700s.
Maybe connected to the Huns? Thoughts?
thanks!

InFTDNA tree
C>M217>F1906>F6301>F9992>Z22425>BY99627>BY56585
In ISOGG ,Z22425 was C2b1a4a, it is now C2a1a1d1
In Yfull, the nearest is https://yfull.com/tree/C-Y11990/ Y11990 is in the same node as F9992
It could be Huns or Avars.

Apparently, the sample is labeled as DA23 at https://www.yfull.com/samples-from-paper/10/
DA23, Kipchak, 1045-1095 AD Source: https://umap.openstreetmap.fr/en/map/ancient-human-dna_41837#10/52.5183/62.5726

Kipchak would explain things. The Kipchaks were joined with the Cumans in the Cuman-Kipchak confederacy and were pushed west by the mongols.
