I purchased Davidskis Global 25 coordinates, although I am in need of some help on understanding how to calculate them.

It says:

You can only calculate results with any program that works with this sort of data, and the results themselves depend on the dataset used. Most people here use nMonte in R, which was designed by one of our users, Huijbregts.

There's plenty of threads on this forum that help you run whatever models you wish, you can find one of them here
https://anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?6452-How-to-Use-nMonte

Long story short: you install R and download the nMonte files. Then on the same file you make a data.txt with all the references you want, and a target.txt with your coordinates. You can change the names into whatever you like, like references1.txt and bob.txt just make sure you type the right names on the commands afterwards
Then just type:
source('nMonte3.R')
getMonte('data.txt', 'target.txt')

You can also do the lazy thing and use poi's webrunner, which works just as well and doesn't require you to learn how to use R. Just copy your coordinates into the Test Pop space, and choose whatever references you want to include in the model

So I'm trying the runner and it says:
"Error: Cannot find module './input/custom/null.js'. Normally, a browser refresh resolves usual issues."
What do I do?

Hello Mic,

i’m not sure what is going wrong in your case but Poi has a thread dedicated to his Runner. Which you can find here:

https://anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?14849-Automated-Global25-nMonte-entirely-from-the-web&p=443520&viewfull=1#post443520

If you want you can ask him and I’m sure he’ll be able to help you. Just go to the last page and post your question.

This is what I get
Mic. Distance = 0.26%

Dutch 30.5%
French 16%
Belgian 13.5%
Irish 11.5%
German 10%
Polish 6.5%
Slovakian 3.5%
Czech 2.5%

Dutch usually turns up in all British Isles populations, so by itself it does not mean much. I would say one Grandparent was Irish. One German. A little Polish, and the rest French.

How did I do?
