BY2868

Hi all, this is my first post to the forum. I’ve had a bit of a search through the threads and I can’t find any information on where my DNA is predicted to go.

So I have done a FTDNA test at 67 markers and then upgraded by doing an SNP test which has put me in L21.

Ok so I don’t know enough and I’ve upgraded to the BigY700. The 111 markers have come back and I’m waiting for the rest of the BigY. So Nevgen has predicted I will be L21>DF13>Z39589>BY2868.

All I have found so far is BY2868 is also known as A4556 and it follows on down from FGC43861. I know it’s only a prediction at this stage but I’m looking to read about it anyway.

So my question is, can anyone shed some light on where the area might be that is associated with BY2868?

My father’s family came from Wales and I have a Welsh surname. Thanks if anyone can help!

Wish I could help, but really all I can say is that there is a boatload of us under Z39589.

Thank you for that. I guess we might only find out more once the results come in. Nevgen could even be wrong, I don’t know. I’ll keep searching!

The Big Tree shows a James and a Rees that are Welsh and have the BY2868 marker.
