This SNP tree for CTS682 descent lines was sent to me by a Chinese forum member. I've asked him how they've concluded the claims that the testers were descended from Korea's last Royal dynasty, but he's not replied to my emails. So I'm hoping someone here could enlighten me?
Thanks
1. How did they determine that tester YF63720 is BY76527? This tester was only recently posted by Y Full as YF146675. No other info was provided. But now this tester has been posted on the Chinese Y tree as being
BY76527.
2. And how did the Chinese Y tree find out this tester is descended from King Sejong who is SNP BY72305? This genealogical info was never divulged by me to anyone including to Y Full. This is my main question.
3. And why is the line dotted? It is not a straight line like the others.
Here's the Screen shot sent to me by me Chinese forum member. It shows SNP lines descended from CTS68233402

Here's Y Full's original version. The tester YF63720 is shown as belonging to YF146675. But in the later Chinese Tree he's SNP BY86527. I understand that different names for SNPs can be assigned by different labs, but what I'm curious is how they found out the tester is descended from Sejong who is BY72305? Basically how did they find out Sejong was the tester's ancestor. This info was never divulged
To Y full or to any other lab, including the Chinese lab.33403

I told him this sample belong to a descendant of King Sejong,so he draw that tree, but he didn't see the raw data of this sample before draw the tree,so he used dotted line, because if this person is a descendant of Sejong,he should be BY76527,but unlike other samples,he didn't see the raw data of this sample,he just guessed this sample is BY76527(dotted line)

There's no definitive conclusion on the haplogroup of any clans in Korea. Unless we dig up the graves and conduct aDNA tests on the remains of these kings, any claims on the haplogroups of royal clans are groundless speculations.

Prestigious clans in Korea usually have secret genealogical books along with rules for naming of descendants to prevent impostors. But most of these secrets were divulged when the Yangban class collapsed and sold these secrets to the commoners and slaves. These are no longer secret, and are even available to the public. It's called Hangryeol(항렬) and you can easily find them on the Internet.

Thanks. Who are the other three samples under BY86527?
Are they the same samples in the Y Full screenshot in post#2?
Thanks
