FTDNA has added a new direct subclade to its I-S20602 haplotree.

I-FT76511 is defined by 6 shared SNPs, and comprises 3 men of Polish, Serbian, and Bosnian ancestry. The two South Slavs share 3 more SNPs and thus form a downstream subclade I-FT256359.

The only remaining I-S20602* declares German ancestry.

I don't know whether either of the two South Slavs will submit his BAM file to YFull for a TMRCA estimate.

I have spoken with Jevtic and I recall that he said, that they will upload.

By the way, even a VCF file submitted to YFull is much better than nothing.

Do you know the STR haplotypes for those two South Slavs, and if so, do you think it will be possible to recognize potential members of this new subclade based on STRs alone?

They are in the I2a Project. The two South Slavs have 12 at DYS549, which is rather unusual. I see no other alleles of great note.

Unfortunately, this never happened. YFull still shows me as a lone I-Y3120* (https://yfull.com/tree/I-Y3120/).

Both Serbs submitted their results to YFull, so we can expect new clade in the tree in a couple of days.
