Thanks for this. I have planned to tour the collection of recovered skeletons and artifacts from the burial site and I think getting a little genetic background won't hurt.

I was thinking too that if the 5 boroughs ever gets lost in the ocean, at least there would be some record somewhere about some of the mtDNA's buried there.
