My little brain has told me yesterday that of the Native American languages I heard they reminded me the most Austronesian languages from their phonolog. I came to the thought that it could Pre-Proto-Austronesian languages were originally spoken all along the Chinese coast up till the Korean peninsula while the ancestral Native American languages were spoken around the Bering, Easternmost Siberia and just north of the Korean peninsula. A close neighboring but without much strong contact

As for the Korean-Japanese-Chinese group I don't know. My little brain probably assumed they were somewhere else.
