Hello, guys, I'm from Azerbaijan and have received my y37 results and got Q-M242 haplogroup, with Nevgen predictor I found that it is Q-L75>Q-L245 with 100% probability. My autosomal results show that I am very close to Talysh and other Iranic people although I don't have much information about my ethnic background. So, I wanted to know if anyone can help me interpret my results.

Salam Ali,

Q-L245 has a lot of variation and found anywhere from Central Asia to Europe. Some clades of it probably emerged in Middle-East while some are carried from Central Asia. So, from a general perspective, it is not likely to deduce anything. Yet considering you're Azerbaijani, it is likely that your subclade is one of these:

1- https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-BZ306*/
2- https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-YP1231/

Presence in Golestan, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, and Turkey might be mirroring Turkic migration. But these are just assumptions as we don't know your actual subclade.

Y-25 and Y-37 matches (if you have) might give about your actual subclade.

Thank you for the information, unfortunately, I have matched only in y12 with three people they have Q-Y2754, Q-M378 and Q-FT389225. A co-admin of Q-M242 project told me that I will be grouped in a few days, but it is recommended to get SNP pack.
