View Full Version : G25 of half Epirotan, half Dodecanesian Greek

Hey guys! A Greek friend of mine asked me to post his G25 results (obtained from ancestry. com). He is half Epirotan (village outside Ioannina), while his mother is 50% from Kos, 25% from Samos, and 25% from Kefalonia.

Running his autosomal results on a Y chromosome predictor, he is listed as E-V13.

I tried running his autosome on the mtDNA predictors and I got null results.

His coordinates are the following: Sotas_scaled,0.10927,0.142174,0.001131,-0.027778,0.012618,-0.007809,0.004935,0.003,-0.000409,0.018953,0.00065,0.006594,-0.000297,0.00523,-0.015879,0.013789,0.02712,0.005194,0.008799,0.0031 26,-0.003619,-0.003462,0.004683,-0.003012,-0.001317

He plots next to NE Peloponnese on the Eurasian PCA:

The current models I run on his ancestry don't seem to be getting good fits:

His predicted Y chromosome:

I ran my autosomal data, and I got the same Y chromosome as the one provided by 23 and me, so my friend's results should be accurate to a certain degree.

Wow his closest population is Greek Izmir which partially justifies the claim that it’s a half mainland, half island sample.

I can't make a model with a fit of less then 2% for him...Any ideas?

I think he has some SSA admixture.I run some optimal fits.

Its the first one,the other is the Trabzon optimat fit.

Thank you very much! Do you have any ideas for good models using ancient populations on Vahaduo?
