All I know is that its particularly North African as the West African variant is almost always L1b1.

Was just curious to know why my mtdna changed all of a sudden I was part of a subclade with many matches now it’s changed to me and one other person and if anyone has any info on this maternal dna

Also is this west African in origin

Yfull probably just updated it tbh.It's is very interesting that you and the other Moroccan share a clade with a German.L1b2a must have been in North West Africa for a very long time
