Hello,

I have tested positive CTS4299 > R-BY73885 and have a few questions.

Haplogroup BY73885 is a relatively new group found by FTDNA correct?

In the following screenshot, what are the "variants" and how do they relate to my terminal haplogroup?

Hello Smac61,

Welcome to anthrogenica! Unfortunately, I’m not in the R1b Haplogroup, so I can’t help you very much in that regard. However, I do think you might get a better response if you asked your question in YDNA Haplogroup section of the forum.

See:

You might try asking in this thread which deals with subjects related to R-DF27. The person who started this thread is very knowledgable on the subject. I’m sure he’ll be glad to help.

Good luck!
