A relative (equivalent to mGF's mGF) tested on 23andme and has been assigned Q-M346 (old Q1a2) - equivalent to Q-L56 on yfull (https://www.yfull.com/tree/Q-L56/)

Seems pretty diverse in terms of distribution with TMRCAs going back many thousands of years.

Does anyone know if any further downstream markers are typically tested on 23andme or is this the most downstream marker?

Also, any input re: presence in South Asia would be appreciated!

Nice! Well from what I can see from their tree at 23andme it looks like they have some markers downstream from that SNP. To be honest though I'm not sure how reliable it is. When I look at the tree for Q1b side of things there they completely ignore that Q-YP1003 exists and have Q-YP1071, Q-YP1010, and Q-YP1035 all descending from Q-Y2197! Totally wrong!

If you have FTDNA you can click on their public haplotree and go to Q-M346. It looks like there are 7 men from India, 2 men from Pakistan, 2 from Indonesia, 1 from Sri Lanka on that branch.

Downstream from that is Q-Y4800. There are 5 from India on that branch. Then there is Q-SK1932 with one from India. Further downstream Q-L717 with one from Sri Lanka.
