Our friend Flory passed away six weeks ago, at the age of 97. This afternoon (3 PM EST) there was a concert in her memory that can be watched (archived) on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0Scu50fRbM

A few of us have discussed Flory, mostly several years ago. This was the most active discussion: https://anthrogenica.com/showthread.php?1727-R1b-phylogeny&p=24490&viewfull=1#post24490

I wasn't able to copy the digital poster for today's (virtual) event, which included a mix of live and recorded performances of her music (and reminiscences of her life) from locations in the US, Canada, Argentina, France, Turkey, and Israel.

If someone stumbles upon this thread, you might also enjoy the very informative obituary for Flory that appeared in the New York Times two days ago. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/14/arts/music/flory-jagoda-dead.html
