Hello, I tested positive for Q-BZ18 and got curious about other people in my tree so I gathered some information from forums and wanted to know what you think.

Interesting to see that the basal Chinese samples both come from Xinjiang, but from different groups. Your paternal line is most probably Turkic.

Both samples are non-Turkic and non-ethnic Chinese. One is Pamiri/Sarikoli and the other Tajik. The clade seems to be BMAC-related and probably was already spread by Indo-Iranians rich in BMAC-admix into Iran and South Asia (very likely the source of Pashtun YP754). In his case could be surely from later Turkic settlers, who had local Central Asian ancestry, but this is so far just one of many scenarios.

I think that's correct since there is one BMAC sample and three Swat Valley samples with Q1b2, moreover autosomally I am Iranic so I think Turkic scenario is hardly true.
