According to Yfull, D4h3 were a subclade of Nativer Americans (Mostly from South America) https://www.yfull.com/mtree/D4h3/.
However, sample FJ168712 from Eastern China (Qingdao, Shandong province) were found to be D4h3b TMRCA at 900 ybp https://www.yfull.com/mtree/D4h3b/.

D4h3 was also found in a Yuan sample (Northern Thai or Thai Yuan) MG273078 from Thailand in according to this article "New insights from Thailand into the maternal genetic history of Mainland Southeast Asia"

They share 152C and 13135A with all members of D4h3. However, according to Table S2 of Li et al. 2019, these Chinese haplotypes exhibit neither 16301T nor 16342C, two transitions in the hypervariable region of mtDNA that are shared among all members of American D4h3a as well as a Chinese member of D4h3b (GenBank ID FJ168712 aka #01(QD8153_Tor637) from "China: Shandong").

MG273078 aka TU237 (a Tai Yuan individual from Northern Thailand; judging from the maps provided by Kutanan et al. 2016 & 2018, this individual is probably from Pai District of Mae Hong Son Province, near the border with the northern part of Chiang Mai Province and the international border with Myanmar) also shares 16301T with Chinese D4h3b and most members of D4h3a (except a few individuals from Chile and Peru whose mitochondrial lineage seems to have experienced a T16301C! reversion). However, according to Table S2 of Kutanan et al. 2018, MG273078 from Northern Thailand does not exhibit 16342C.

Therefore, the five Han Chinese members of D4h3 from Beijing, Hubei, Hunan, Jiangsu, and Shanghai reported by Li et al. 2019 most likely belong to the most basal branch of the D4h3 clade discovered to date, with the second most basal branch being represented by MG273078 from Northern Thailand.
