I ordered YFull today and have my results. I did not order a BAM file so I have no STR matches.

I do have SNP matches. My age estimation is a blank screen.

What am I looking for on this site?

Your age estimation -depending on their cutoff date - won’t show up until they update their tree. Which usually occurs once every 4 - 6 weeks. Your branch’s current age estimation, based on the other two samples is 800 years ago (ybp). If you click on the blue TMRCA bar and the white [info] tab you’ll find a little more information there.

The age estimation and the extraction of STR results (the latter won't apply to VCF uploads such as your case) are the last results to come from YFull analysis. As JMcB says, the age estimate is usually applied when the next version of the tree updates. You can click on the "Archive" button of a page showing the YFull tree - that will give you an idea of how regularly the tree updates to a new version and when to expect the next one. It's possible to get sneak previews of new branching on the tree by clicking on the red "live" button, but that's a work in progress and no age estimation given.

You can download a CSV of your STR results as extracted by FTDNA and upload those to your YFull account. It's not quite as thorough as having YFull extract the STRs from a BAM file, but it will attach STR results to your profile and allow comparison with other kits and those will show up as STR matches. If you do this, I'd recommend ignoring STR matches that are not also SNP matches.

Two good guides to YFull can be found at this blog https://antoniosdnaproject.de/yfull-first-steps/ and this one https://ultimatefamilyhistorians.blogspot.com/2019/10/advantages-of-submitting-to-yfull.html with follow up article here https://ultimatefamilyhistorians.blogspot.com/2020/07/ - these give a good overview of the features at YFull and screenshots to follow. YFull's own FAQ https://www.yfull.com/faq/ is also very useful.

As to what you're looking for, that's a question only you can answer.

Thanks, this is very useful and helpful information. I have looked at 'Archive', the last update was last February 2021, with no new sections in my branch of the haplotree.

I was just on their Facebook Page and someone asked about the next update and their Admin, Julia Sorokina, said the following:

“We are working on it. I think that the next update of Ytree will be after the 15- 20th of June”.

Just so you know.
