View Full Version : Z2105 Bashkir Relation
Hi,
Are those who test positive z2105 considered to be distantly related to the Bashkir people?
I am z2105+, ancestry South/East Poland.
Thanks,

SNP The R1b-Z2105 mutation preceeded the R1b-KMS67 mutation seen in many of the Bashkir samples. Hopefully this is still true. The R1b-Z2105 haplogroup is very diverse. Urge you to consider further testing so you know where you sit on the R1b-Z2105 haplotree.

Z2105, like R1a-Z93, is not originally Turkic but was assimilated from Indo-European speaking steppe tribes. Clades upstream from R1b-M269 did play a part in the ethnogenesis of the Turkic people, though, specifically M73 and PH155.
