It's consistent with your ancestry... and it's also evidence that your bedouin-parent isn't 100% bedouin, perhaps you have some arabized iraqi arab ancestry. That would explain the caucasus-south-west asian like affinity.

It would not be strange if there is some native ancestry. I would not doubt there might be some, although my mom's Bedouin clan are endogamous, but even with enodogamy there will be a gene flow. Since she also come from Mosul, althoug before 1921 they were still in the Jebal Shammar today in Saudi Arabia.

I know that the Bedouins are very heterogeneous, so the reference population "Bedouin" does not capture that wide range. Anyways, assuming ca. 35-65% Bedouin ancestry gives better predictions than assuming 35-65% Balkar ancestry, so my guess would be that either the Balkars are very heterogeneous as well or you simply don't have 50% Balkar ancestry.

Interesting I don't know, but I think the Balkars do in fact have diverse origins. For example they have native Caucasian, Alano-Iranic, and Kipchak ancestry. These components will probably indeed show the diversity present among them and will effect the results. Btw how did you calculate those results? I know the Bedouins are diverse people but they all share a basic origins in Arabia. The Shammar for example are Bedouins who claim to descent from South Arabians, and my mother's clan were recently relocated to Iraq basically after 1921.
