I noticed today that the map for the Family Tree DNA map R1a1 under the L448 grouping now has YP355 listed for those that are negative for CTS4179.

Last I heard there was a need for more test results to confirm this. Is this still the case or has it been confirmed?

If there is still a need will test results from YSEQ be accepted?

Well I was mistaken YSEQ doesn't offer up YP355 for R1a for testing.

YSEQ are now offering YP355, and one test is now in progress from an 8.B2

Yes thanks. I'm the one who is testing.

There are two tests under way then. Kit N113881 in 8.B2 has just tested positive at YSEQ for YP355.

Is there any more info on YP355? Have there been many to test positive for it and does anyone have any idea where to place its origin, in England?

England is a very unlikely place of origin for YP355. It is much more likely that this clade was born in Norway. See the relevant thread on the Molgen forum:

Yes, I meant where would it have came from in England after it had spread there if known. For example, YP355 came into NW England from the Orkney/Shetland Islands or the highest concentration of YP355 in England is in SW England. This data may not be known yet.
