New SNPs now available to order from YSEQ

There are several SNPs downstream of DF27 that are now available to be ordered for $25 each from yseq.net, Z2571, DF84, FGC11395, and FGC11397. DF84 is available from FTDNA, but the others haven't been commercially available until now. FGC11395 and FGC11397 were recently discovered in FullGenomes and Big Y tests.

Z2571 is important because it appears that many of us who were DF27* are Z2571+. Z2571 has two major branches, DF84 (found in southwest Europe), and FGC11395 (found in northwest Europe). Additionally, FGC11395 has a subclade, FGC11397 (found in northwest Europe).

The STR modals for the FGC11395 branch are in ysearch entry 3QNM8. The modals for FGC11397 are probably very similar. I don't know the modals for DF84.

If you are DF27* and have STR values similar to those in ysearch entry 3QNM8, it would be a good idea to order FGC11395. If you are DF27* and aren't particularly close to 3QNM8, it would be a good idea to order Z2571.

As I said in another page I'm interested in buying two of these tests. Thus far my situation is: L11+, U106-, L21-, M222-, U152-, L2-, SRY2627-, M65-, M153-. My paternal lineage is Basque, so which two should I get? I know DF27 is a must, but what else should I try?

DF27 is a daughter of P312 as are four of five other SNPs. You may want to take P312 too, to make sure that you're not L11(xU106, P312).

If you are already L11+ and U106- it's highly likely that you are P312+. With known Basque ancestry, but M153-, you could still be DF27+, and either Z196+ or Z196- (in the latter case, your best bet at the moment looks like DF81). These SNPs may or may not be available at YSEQ, where the sale was extended through midnight tonight (Central Daylight Time).

In other news, I just did "Wish a SNP" for 35 new ones discovered in my FGC test. All of those will be under CTS4065, but some may turn out to be "private" and not especially helpful. We'll see what Thomas and Astrid have to say, anyhow.

Edit: The 25 SNP tests that met their criteria are ready to be ordered, not that anybody but some fraction of the CTS4065+ people would need to. (My FGC results were compared with several other fully sequenced samples that were Z220+; two of them are also CTS4065+, but neither of those two is L484+ or shares the many off-modals of my subclade. These are 35 SNPs I didn't share with anyone in their database.) FGC15724-28 and FGC15730-49 are now available at YSEQ. Astrid Krahn stated why they felt that testing for the other ten SNPs would fail, so they did not design primers for those.
