Not sure what to make of this:

Countries highest % in DF19, then U106, then P312:
Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Luxembourg

1. It is a contiguous belt.
2. The three oldest samples of DF19 are not in this belt, they are to the north in the U106>DF19>P312 Netherlands (Saxon migration? general drift?)
3. The fourth oldest DF19 sample is from Bohemia (Hallstatt era), and/but autosomally looks like the older NLD samples.

Two of the larger subclades of P312>DF19>DF88>FGC11833>S4281>S4268>Z17112 which are BY44243/R-FT354149 and S17075 have nearly all of the above countries covered.

Z17112>FT354149 has all of the above (except Luxembourg and Czech Rep.) plus Ireland, Scotland, Austria and France (but the French one is actually German). It also includes VK333 (and me)

Z17112>S17075 has all of the above (except Lux., Czech Rep., Denmark and Poland) plus Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland, Wales, Russia and France (and Guyana). It also includes 6DRIF23 and Phillip Calvert (Gov. of Maryland ~1660 and son of 1st Baron Baltimore)

Another son of Z17112, Z17112>Z27257 includes England, Netherlands and Sweden from the top group, and includes Germany, Belgium and Czech Rep from the second, plus Scotland, Ireland, France and Wales.

Still another, Z17112>Z21380 has just Germany from the second group, but has England, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands plus Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Russia.

How does a minor P312 descendant have their subclades become distributed like that? :confused:
Other than places like Germany, Scotland and England, the raw numbers aren't that high, yet the coverage is still there across the subclades.
