There are very few Hindus, or non-Pashtun South Asians under y874. They aren't Brahmins, the two here are a father-son duo, originally from Rajasthan, Banias, then there is a Gujarati as well, under y874, related to these two.

Does this indicate a potential Xiongnu/Hunnic or Scythian ancestry for them?

R-Y874 is not frequent among Pashtuns and i am not aware of a Pashtun sample under it yet. The Afghan samples are Tajiks and Uzbeks. South Asian R-Y43743 is very old and probably from the Proto- or Pre-Proto-Indo-Iranian period so it easily could be a minor Indo-Aryan line. The same is true for the basal R-Y874* sample from Andra Pradesh. Only the R-BY123094 sample from Bihar has closer matches with Uzbeks and Tatars but the other R-Y874 really not look like Scythian lines so far.
