View Full Version : Brain implant to alleviate OCD made man a Johnny Cash fan. Effect is reversible.
A man developed a passionate love for the music of Johnny Cash after being implanted with a brain stimulation device. The unique story is told in a case report in the Frontiers in Behavioral Neuroscience journal, published on the 6th May.

They've been using brain implants for a number of things including depression, epilepsy, Parkinson's, etc., but not, to my knowledge, to change musical taste. This could spell the end of Justin Bieber.
This could spell the end of Justin Bieber.
One can only hope, although it's more likely he'll cause his own end going by his reported antics.

I like Johnny Cash:

Johnny Cash - "Wabash Cannonball"
Votes: Yes/No for this Cash version?
I vote yes.
I like him too -- though I am not sure what it means that he's the opposite of OCD.
(This is really for the Lounge, but I find his version of "I Hung My Head" better than both Sting's and Springsteen's.)
I vote yes also to that version, and I've been a fan of Cash's music for many a year.
Here is a wonderful tribute that his former son in law Rodney Crowell wrote and performed with Cash:

I am neither a fan of country nor western, but I thought everyone loved Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, and Hank Williams!
