I am led to believe that my Haplo Group N1b1 means that I am of Ashkenazi inheritance. I need more detailed info on this. My family originated in southeastern part of Europe to include Yugoslavia, Lithuania, Romania, Austria, Hungary, and thereabouts. Would someone help me with more info on being able to prove my Jewish heritage? There are no survivors, I'm 67 and want to be sure I'm buried as a Jew. I recognize myself as Jewish and am trying to assimilate myself into the Jewish lifestyle. My mother died when I was a baby, and my Jewish maternal grandparents legally adopted me. An adopted son of my grandparents took me from their home then and raised me in a brutal, hostile manner. It wasn't until I started to seek my genealogy records that I put two and two together and came up with Jewish.
