I saw this story on the ABC evening news last night, and they actually showed a picture of some blades of green grass as what it would look like through the eyes of a man, vs. through the eyes of a woman. Through the eyes of men, the green grass seemed a bit more subdued, and had more of a yellowish tint. I've been trying to find a picture of it online, but I haven't found it yet.

I don't automatically buy their speculation that these differences in visualizing are due to women being gatherers, and needing to see colors better to pick the right berries, though. There could be a hundred reasons why we see colors differently.

There also must be variation within the sexes. Certainly some men "see" more as a woman would and some women "see" more as a man would.

And also do pay attention differently according to this article:

Nice article tuuli. Having said that, I pay attention to birds without forgetting to focus on cars :)

Same here, it depends on which comes first to be watched. Earlier I did not pay much attention to the cars but I think there are more cars than birds. When I was a child we were interested in birds and books of them. But certainly it is facinating to watch different kind of birds and try to remember the names... :)
